Dimension

A Dimension (linear) will give the absolute, horizontal or vertical distance between the selected points, and a Dimension (radius) will give the distance from the center of a circle or arc to its circumference.

To Create a Dimension:

  1. Click on the Dimension tool or press Alt+D key.

  2. Select the dimension mode:

    1. Dimension (Linear)

      1. Click on the first point of entity and second point of entity you want to measure.

      2. Select the direction type: Absolute, Horizontal, or Vertical.

      3. Click on the canvas to place the Witness line.

      4. The Dimension text of the selected dimension will be displayed accordingly, and you can position the Dimension text to either left outside, right outside, middle and top middle.

      5. Press Esc or right click and select Close Tool to exit the tool.

    2. Dimension (Radius)

      1. Click on the first point of entity.

      2. Click on the canvas to place the Witness line.

      3. The Dimension text of the selected dimension will be displayed accordingly, and you can position the Dimension text to either left inside, left outside, right inside, right outside.

      4. Press Esc or right click and select Close Tool to exit the tool.
