Explode

Use the Explode tool to explode an entity or figure into its basic components.

• Explode a Rectangle into Line Segments.

• Explode a Polyline into Lines and/or Arcs.

• Explode a Polygon into Lines.

• Explode a Figure into basic entities.

To explode an entity or figure:

1. Click on the Explode tool from the toolbar, or press X. The explode cursor will appear on the canvas.

2. Hover over the entity or figure to be exploded. A highlight will appear. Click to explode the highlighted entity or figure.

3. Press Esc, right click and select Close Tool, or close the tool by clicking on the x in the sidebar, or open another tool.
